Naturopathic Doctors (ND's) are the most extensively trained practitioners in alternative medicine. In addition to the basic medical sciences and conventional diagnostics, naturopathic training includes many alternative medicine modalitiees. Naturopathic Doctors tailor care to the individual patient, emphasising prevention and self-care.
Naturopathic Doctors are primary care physicians clinically trained in natural therapeutics. However, ND's cooperate with all branches of medicine and refer and interact with medical doctors and surgeons when appropriate. Our practice is based on the same basic medical science foundation that a conventional medical practice is. It is the philosophies and approaches to treatment that differ considerably.
